What should be the first thing to do in growing marijuana, what's your take?

Research if ur a first timer. Don't learn by getting in a jam. Plus make sure u have the appropriate equipment

make sure ur breaker box can handle the load u put on it. i worked with an electrician. there are some here who will help you. Safety first. start small. learn LST, Supercropping and other grow techniques like 12/12 from seed and growing from autos. perfect a cloning technique. buy a digital scope so u can see those triches. dry and cure by numbers first till ur more seasoned. buy a hygrometer. use air tight mason jars. simon's method worked fine for me. its in the harvest /cure section. growing is mostlly ez. filtering out all the bs in the newbie section is annoying and distracting. listen to uncle ben. an old timer who is impatient at times but he knows his shit. and be prepared to make mistakes if you dont have a background in horticulture. if you mess up a few grows in the scheme of things it won't matter. and read books from published authors. like ed rosenthal. cervantes is not reputable. he's an entertainer. my personal advice is to grow ecverything organically. stay away from hydro shop nutes. it wastes your money and teaches you nothing about soil biology. if your soil mix is a good, rich healthy one that is moe than half the battle. good luck.
