If scrogging u cut off all lower branches in veg to make more energy available to the plant right. My question is if you leave all healthy growth alone throughout the grow would the plant yeild more because it hasnt had any stress, other than the scrog, which is low stress. In nature the plant gets branches and leaves eatn and broken but not as many as we as growers cut off the plant? We are talking about cutting lower growth which in itself is energy?!? Wouldnt cutting make the plant divert energy into repairing inself instead of using its energy to flourish and grow? couldnt we leave it and just make hash out of all the lower stuff? So does cutting lower growth really increase quality yeild? wouldnt the buds that recieve light grow vigorously regardless of what the lower growth is doing? please any comments welcome

I do it mostly for air flow and access reasons, then again, I tend to run more plants than many people consider "normal" for my size space.
Additionally, in late flower, quite a few lower leaves drop due to lack of light etc & I firmly believe that dead foliage is a magnet for pests to feed on and hide under so I am meticulous about cleaning up.

it depends on strain, and other factors
you do not want to remove any growth even if its at the bottom of the plant if it is going to receive a reasonable amount of light the buds will be smaller
but the yield will be greater if the growth is left on
don't worry about "stress" this is not a concern

if the lower growth is shaded you can thin it out and remove the growth that will not receive much light
removing branches and concentrating the bud near the top does not always improve yield but it will improve quality
you will have more colas and less popcorn buds, experiment yourself to find whats best for your situation
if you have a canopy that is very crowded removing bottom growth will help with the airflow blowing air under the canopy while
the exhaust fan sucks the cold air up through the plants

peace :)
