September in Southern Cali...too late?

I just got some seeds to attempt my first grow with, and I know I missed the ideal planting time by 4 months but since I'm in socal do you think my plants have a chance at making it through the winter? I don't expect them to bud this year but I at least want them to live...what are my chances? It would be an outdoor grow if you can't tell from the rest of my post.

IDK the genetics cause' I got the seeds out of some shitty mexi-brick weed, but I'm assuming they're fairly hardy.

you might be able to pull it off if we have a another winter like last year. Hopefully you are some where like temecula or indio, some where more so in the desert. The temps by the coast will most likely be too cold, and even those places in the desert get really cold at night. There are some ways to keep your plants warm so you might want to look into that. I def think that it is possible if you keep them warm enough. you wont no if they will grow where you live if you dont try you know.

take it easy

this is my first grow except ill b harvesting this year, but i plan on letting 2 of the plants reveg, they r in th ground so i have no choice but to let them stay outside,im hoping they make it for next year.i think they will,i plan on taking every precaution there possibly is.maybe if u plant them in pots instead of ground thell b fine, youll be able to move to warm when to cold...good luck, rascalone

Ya, I live in Temecula. Are there ways to keep my plants warm during the winter? Sure it's SoCal, but it still gets pretty cold. Last year it was freezing (literally) for a week or so. I'm hoping for better luck this year. :?

temecula,i used to work out there at the track homes,i install granite, anyways,i dont really know how it gets over there but yeah,it does get pretty cold even though were sunny socal,i guess we can only hope for the best sctoker,right....

Ya, I'm hoping for the best. I've also decided I'm going to try to make a mini-greenhouse with plastic wrap to keep em' as warm as possible. :leaf:
