I'm looking for a touch of advice from anyone who has grown sensi star, or any other strains that behave this way.

this particular ss plant was grown from seed. it displayed amazing growth and vigor through veg. she did crazy things that i've never seen a plant do before. i.e. at the 4th node she put out a set of 10 fingered leaves (one on each side)at about her 8th node she happily put out 6 leaves at the same time evenly spaced all around the stalk(each with 9 fingers). at the 12th node she decided to split and grow 2 heads(i never topped it). lower branches also split during the first week of bloom creating double heads growing from single branches. at 10 days into bloom she started showing alot of trichome production. 10 DAYS!! today 7/2/09 she is 8 weeks into bloom, she is covered from top to bottom with the thickest splattering of trichomes i have ever seen. my conundrum is: not a single pistil has changed from white, though many are curled up like hairs usually do after they change color. the plant is totally white.

my question arises as a result of the very last part. i usually let the pistils tell me when to start flushing. yet not a single one has changed color after 8 weeks of bloom. has anyone had this experience with this or any other strain? can a plant be ripening properly whith no colored pistils? should i go ahead and start my flush, and hope it will be ripe in 2 weeks? :shock:
 
some can take up to 11 weeks to flower,id say just wait bromsure they be fine,usually ready when theyve used up theyre fan leaves(i beleive they use them for extra energy right at the end of their life)
 
im not a noob. ive been doing this for years. ive never seen a plant like this one.

the pistils are curled up... the way they usually do after they change color. but they're all totally white. not a single one has changed color.

anyone??
 
pics just look orange because of the hps. my digital camera isn't strong enough to take a detailed pic, even if i use a magnified glass in front it. plus im still sort of sketchy with the whole posting pics thing.

im really just curious as to wether or not anyone has seen this characterisitic(pistils that stay white even after they ripen) before. even with plants that take 14 weeks to ripen (not that sensi star is supposed to be one of those strains, breeder says 8 weeks), there would still be at least a few pistils that would change color by 8 weeks. just looking for anyone out there to say yes. i may have a miracle plant on my hands.

maybe i should post this in the advanced growing section???
 
9 weeks now...

pistils still totally white but none are growing straight. they all look like curly little pubes that are white as snow.

she's beautifull.

i didn't feed her on sunday (which would have been her normal feeding schedule) instead i flushed her with molasses. things are looking crazy. ill probably give her another week or two before i chop her down and attempt a re-veg.

unfortunately i didn't cut any clones before flowering her. i didn't have room in my mother area for one more
 
this sour diesel is a little fatter than the sensi star, and it is onlt at 4 weeks of bloom. it is going to be huge.

I actually just got some sensi star clones from some hippie chick that my girl knows and from what I heard the tricomes and the plant stays all crystally. suppose to be one of the best yielding plants from what I heard. I'll know in a couple months. Im excited after seeing your pics they look nice. I also have ak47 and og kuchs and MK ultra going, ive had some heat troubles my last couple times but have that fixed I hope mine will flourish as well as those did...
 
the yield isn't staggering. especially compared to the sour diesel that i have.
it's the amount of frost that is the craziest thing... that and the white pistils(which are still all white)



btw: just cut down 6 thai lights clones...flowered for 13 weeks. im looking forward to the next few months. i'll post a pic or two when i load them onto my computer
 
Update:
sensistar was just under 11 weeks into bloom...
gave her the chop lastnight.
still all white pistils.

i cut most all of the plant down to the lowest buds/branches. i then re-potted her, and put her under 24 hour light. I have seen this re-veg thing work on this forum before so I think I will take a whack at it.

I'll post some pics if she turns back on
 
I've got star kush germinating right now. It's pre 98 bubba crossed with sensi star. Should be good stuff I hope.
 
Re-veg is starting to come along.

dry yeild of about 20 grams. just started smoking some of the buds. they are out-fucking-standing!! quite literally some of the best herb i have ever grown. I can't wait till she is ready to clone. I will be growing this one for a long time
 
Looks great! I had some crazy growth too in early veg ( from clone ) 1 finger leaves and 3. Gigantic fan leaves but now
Other than some twists and stuff I think it's pretty normal. Check mine out.

FUCKING AWESOME NEWS!!!!

1st off, the re-veg has kicked on and i will likely be able to start cloning in another 2 weeks.

more bitchin than that though... right when my sensi star was finishing, i had it in my bloom tent with some younger cloned plants that i intended to breed. i had a sugar mountain male along with female's sourdiesel, headband kush, mazar-i-sharrif, and bluemystic. The pollen sacks had only just begun opening when i cut the sensi star, so i figured there was no reason to worry about getting pollenated. today, when i was checking out the progress on the re-veg, i noticed the most beautiful sight; at the top of one of the flowers that i left behind, there is a seed forming. one perfect little seed. it will probably be ready to pop out of there within a couple more weeks. WOOOOHOOOO!!!!! this particular male that i used in my crosses is a badass. I can't wait to see his progeny.
