Selfing the M.O.B.

Bummer, looks like my post of this from yesterday got blasted with the loss of data. Here's a repost.

I took an M.O.B. clone and began treating it with colloidal silver about 3 days before switching to 12/12. Continued spraying once/day for another 7-8 days after that. As you can see from the last image, it is a little "confused" and is trying to express female traits, evidenced by the few pistils. I will spray a couple more days and that will go away. I should get a good harvest of pollen.

Guys, if the CS method doesn't go well you can always try Soma's method. Just leave it in flower for along time and eventually it will put out some male flowers....GL and if you have success and need testers lemme know :)

I am not an expert so I could be wrong, but I believe the difference is that waiting for old age, or using other stress factors like unscheduled light periods etc. produce more of a hermaphroditic state. Using a CS method, imo, is different. It is a chemical instruction to the plant, not the plant's reaction to stress factors. Others have argued that applying the CS is a stress factor, but my non-expert opinion is that I disagree.

LOL, im by no means an expert either man.

You could always take the long and hard way of just crossing it w/ a known male, selection at the next generation and then crossing the like male and female. It might be the longest and hardest way, but some will argue that its probably the most stable. I dunno.

Im no expert at all, in fact im just starting my first serious breeding project w/ Querkle. I got lucky and got 2 of the Urkle dominant males to work with. Keeping my fingers crossed that one of them will pass along that grape flavor that I love so much.

The whole CS debate is just like the femmed seeds argument to me, a matter of opinion on both sides of the argument. All that matters is that you get where youre trying to go man.

this is what i did. mob w/ mosca c99 bx1, the most mob dominate male picked and crossed with the mob mom clone again (and the most mob dominate mob x c99, AND a trainwreck cuz what the hell).. I know i will never get a true mob seed stock but i am hoping its got the sturcture and resin of the mob and the soaring up and clean head of the c99.. its lofty..

as for the debate, i don't know enough so i went with the old school method.. when in doubt KISS

:)

good luck tet and ink, maine needs more top shelf meds :P

The few pistils that were appearing are all but gone now. I think one or two flowers may have a couple. I will take another pic when they start opening. I also intend to bring a bit of pollen to Cannamania cerb, in case we can meet up there. Should definitely be spewing forth by then lol

WTF are YOU talking about?
Dude, I am the original poster. I used the CS. I was responding to the guy who said he was having a hard time reversing a plant, and I don't believe he/she ever said what method they were using to do the reversing. Got it?
