Seedsman Northern Lights

Hello.

This was a freebie...so I shouldn't complain...but I'm gonna just the same. According to the Seedsman website it's a 45 day flower strain. That's absolute BS.
I've included a pic at day 53 of flower. (and I do not count day one until I am switched to 12/12 AND I see several white hairs)

Furthermore it's a slow grower in all stages.

The only thing this has in common with Northern Lights is the no odor in growth bit.

Check it:

Day 53 of true flower.

I reduced the light cycle to 11/13 4 days ago...and today switched it to 10/14. I need for this plant to finish in 2 weeks. Does it look 2 weeks away to me? Hellz no. I'd say 3 weeks would be optimistic.

Thankfully this is only for personal as I'd guess a 1/2 oz. I have two colas like the one pictured and a dozen heads that are of course much smaller. Just flat out BS all around. It's not even frosty.

Here is day 60 of this supposed 45 day plant.

There is growth (swelling) but it's not maturing really even with the 10/14 light schedule.

still not frosty either. But in looking around the web...I should be grateful...there are phenos of this that look all straggly and produce nothing but long arse stems. I apparently atleast got a pheno that is in the ballpark of what the strain is supposed to be.

I grew 6 NL from Nirvana this year.Outdoors though. They started flowering about Mid Aug.
Chopped em about the first week of Oct.
Thats about 7 weeks.

heres my seedsmans northern lights, very long flowering i guess due to the fact that he grew very large growing more than 6ft tall topped and fimmed in a 5gal bucket with so many main colas...hope this pic would help, enjoy

she hasnt finish yet...she started flowering late july...i would say she has about 3 more weeks, i think growing outdoors and is yielding a lot and took a few beatig from mother nature made her finish slower. mine isnt that frosty as well. but seems like its on its way there but very chunky, the smell was not strong either.

Either way, your doing a great job buddy.. looks DANK!.

Ya, that's nl for you. Im kinda surprised she don't have more trich on it. I just finished some nl and it doesn't have hardly any smell. Except when you chop it down, then the grassy smell sets in. You have to be careful curing NL because of it's neutral odor, if you do it wrong, it'll retain that grassy smell after the cure. When I hang it, one thing I do different is, after about two days of drying, I bundle bunches of branches with some string to slow down the drying, Almost bringing it to the brink of fermentation (Not mold) without using jars for as long as possible.

I'm going to cut at day 70 I think. I started the flush on the day I took the day 60 pics. Now we are on day 63 and there is a good amount of yellowing and dying of the leaves starting to happen.

can you post a pic...just so i can compare mine if you dont mind...mine is still bulking up, not that its a bad thing but i would rather harvest it soon

Here are two from day 64. Still thinking day 70 for chop. I have a lot of white pistils left...but 90% of those are all curly, kinky now...leaves are dying fast...and I'm getting a lot of milky trichs under a scope. (not really any amber though)

Plus I'm just getting tired...this plant was supposed to be a 7 week strain. I'll be going to the end of week 10.

great grow looks like a cactus maybe a few more weeks for her...i couldnt see her close enough because of the lights mine are turning amber. the typhoon is hitter her though, hopefully shell be fine when i check on her later

I cut her on day 69. Was tired of waiting. Turns out some of the bottoms got seeded! There were no males...so of course I'm thinking hermi.
Thankfully the top colas do not seem to have any seeds...but I haven't cut them open either. Ugggh.

I think I'll save the seeds and randomly plant them while hiking. Never check on them. Maybe hike again in a few months and see what's up.

Just an all around lame grow. Looks good...and I'll prolly get lots of personal off her...but every other plant I've ever grown was better overall imo.
