Seedsman & Attitude Review

Hello everyone, this is a review of both Seedsman and Attitude seed banks. This is my first time ordering from both banks. I have previously ordered exclusively through Nirvana and had no troubles with them but that was five years ago, and now that I'm in the tail end of my first grow in the last five years I'm honestly not too impressed by Nirvana's selection of strains hence the move towards new seed banks.

Getting into things though, I placed an order with Seedsman on October 3rd for the following seeds:
  • (5) Greenhouse Seed Co - Moby Dick [Feminized]
  • (5) Greenhouse Seed Co - Kalashnikova [Feminized]
  • (1) Mephisto Genetics - Phantasmo Express [Autoflower] (FREE)
After placing my order I realized I'd typed my email address incorrectly so I contacted support and by October 5th they'd responded and fixed the email issue, and providing me a password to my account. My order was shipped at this time as well, although I was not provided a tracking number. I didn't expect a tracking number as I did not pay for tracked shipping, but I did pay for stealth shipping.

Fast forward to October 21th. I open my mailbox and am greeted by bright green US Customs tape. Knowing my seeds are probably gone, but remaining hopeful that stealth shipping saved me I went inside and opened it up. Unfortunately, all that was in there was a letter from US Customs in LA explaining my seeds had been taken, and the stealth item. I was livid when I saw what they considered "stealth" and charged me an extra ~$14 for. Same thing all my previous Nirvana orders that I had NOT paid for stealth shipping were shipped in. You'd think for $14 you would get a stealth item worth more than $1 and that you can actually hide things in well. They may have well have sent me a pair of socks with the seeds in them.

So immediately I email them with a picture of the letter from customs with a message letting them know that my stuff had been seized, and that I was not happy at all with what they considered stealth shipping, even explaining how banks that don't charge for stealth use the same shit they do. After sending this email I hopped over here to RIU and started looking through old threads trying to find a reliable seed bank with fast shipping to Colorado. They responded within a day or so asking for my address again.

So at this point I have no seeds, they haven't emailed me back after I provided my address and I'm freaking out because I either need to get more seeds within the next 10 days or spend a ton of money driving 12hrs round trip to Denver to get clones. This lead me to Attitude, and after browsing the site for about 8 hours I ended up ordering the following seeds:
  • (1) DNA Reserva Privada - Kandy Kush [Feminized]
  • (1) Dutch Passion - Brainstorm [Feminized]
  • (2) TGA Subcool - Agent Orange [Regular]
  • (2) DNA Reserva Privada - Tangie [Regular] (FREE)
  • (1) Cali Connection - Black Kush [Feminized] (FREE)
  • (1) Humboldt Seed Organization - Chocolate Mint [Feminized] (FREE)
  • (1) Blimburn Seeds - Grizzly Purple Kush [Feminized] (FREE)
  • (1) World of Seeds - Northern Lights x Big Bud [Feminized] (FREE)
I paid via Bitcoin, fucked up a bunch of stuff as I was originally going to buy (1) DNA Reserva Privada - Tangie [Feminized] seed, but noticed I could get two regulars as a freebie with my order so I removed the seed and added the Brainstorm to my order. After placing my order, paying, and messaging customer support to make sure I got Tangie freebies (the promotion on their website said Lemon Kush freebies, but cart said Tangie) I realized that after removing the feminized Tangie and placing/paying for the order I did not meet the 30GBP minimum for the BTC payment promotion.

This meant I would not get any of the free seeds above except the Tangie. I sent another email to customer support letting them know I was under the minimum, but wanted the promotion and requested that they add (2) TGA Subcool - Agent Orange [Regular] seeds to my order and let me know the difference so I could send them more BTC.

This was all within a 30 minute window at 6am Colorado time, and to my surprise customer support got back to me within an hour. They let me know I would need to place a new order for the seeds I wanted and put a note on the order to combine it. They also gave me a coupon code to use on the order so that I wouldn't be billed for anything but the seeds. Within 3 hours of placing that order they emailed me confirming both orders had been paid, that they were both boxed up and provided me a tracking number.

The order status changed to dispatched on October 22, with a tracking number. However, in their FAQ section they say if your tracking begins with "LL" and you live in the US that you will have to wait up to a week before the tracking will work and that you should track through USPS. The problem with this is the tracking number provided is a Royal Mail tracking number, which pulls nothing up on USPS or Royal Mail websites.

Next day, October 23rd, I get an email from Seedsman letting me know that they've confirmed my information and will be reshipping as soon as they can. I checked their website during the making of this post to make sure my dates were accurate and I noticed that the new reship was now listed under my orders, and had a tracking code. The order status implied my package was in the mail, but when I attempted to track through Royal Mail I was told that there was no such tracking number in existence.

So I guess we'll see which gets here first and I'll update as I receive seeds/info. Hopefully I get something this week, because I'd really like to start going perpetual. Just glad I ordered these a bit ahead of when I need them, as it's been 22 days since my initial seed order and I feel like if I ordered any later I would have completely fucked myself come a week or two from now.

I was gonna get African buzz, afghani #1, and white widow beans from seedsman but I'll wait and see what happens with your situation. Hope you get some beans soon.

Me too man, I really want to get perpetual and this seed situation definitely is not helping!

Seedsman seems to take their time with everything. After receiving a customs letter telling me that they confiscated 11 seeds I have no worries that they won't send me stuff, just really wish they would charge a reasonable price for the level of stealth shipping they provide.

I know it says don't talk about what they ship stuff in, but for fucks sake something better than a $1 pair of gardening gloves would be nice. I don't think I've ever received seeds that weren't "hidden" in gardening gloves. Would it kill these banks to unscrew a pen or something and stuff it in there? It's not like it would cost them more than gardening gloves, hell it'd probably be cheaper.

I feel like asking seed banks to actually hide seeds in a way that requires disassembly of the as most inspectors don't have the time for that shit isn't too much to ask for the price they all charge. The real issue though is that the US government doesn't just fuck off and let legal states do their thing. Not like I'm trying to ship stuff out to people, just trying to grow myself some quality meds and don't feel like driving 12 hours, spending hundreds on gas and probably hotel, as well as absolutely absurd prices for seeds/clones. Only other option is to drive four hours round trip for a $150 for a pack of 5 seeds that's been sitting on the shelf at the dispensary for over a year now.

I'm thinking about going through midweek song and see how that goes. My first beans came from ILGM.com and I got them in around 2 weeks. You'd think seed banks would have stepped up "stealth packaging" by now.

its strange observation but only the 'free' seeds are worth the merit,

many of the above breeders are recent or dubious to the breeder scene

you need not have no shame in checking them out and asking for their years of horti expeience

as often the truth will shock even numb you?

I've heard any times the Chicago canna catcher tron 2000, works overtime with atitiude

should you fail in your endeavors with these postal monkies, feel free to call Herby

so far he's 'canna catcher tron' free. ..touch wood!

of your selection (1) Mephisto Genetics - Phantasmo Express [Autoflower] (FREE) is a very good deal indeed

good luck

I've tried every strain I listed besides the Phantasmo Express Auto, Kalashnikova Auto, and the BTC promotion freebies from Attitude, with the exception of DNA Tangie. I've had OG Ghost Train Haze #1 as well as Kalashnikova, but I assume the fact that they're auto flower crosses will mean they'll be a bit different than their regular counterparts.

Tangie makes the best concentrate I have ever smoked, and I've been smoking waxes and such for about a half a decade now, often times getting and smoking 8+ strains of just wax throughout the week. I had some DNA Kandy Kush a while back and that to date is the tastiest weed I have smoked, and a close match up with the TGA Agent Orange which I get frequently from my dispensary.

What do you mean by the breeders are new to the scene? I put a fair amount of research into these purchases and as far as I'm informed I chose higher end breeders, and many of the strains have won awards. I also only ordered strains that I personally have tried and greatly enjoyed. My biggest worry is getting weaker phenotypes since I didn't order packs of each, and I know I'm guaranteed to get some with the amount I will be popping but hopefully we get more good than bad, eh?

EDIT: Thanks for wishing me luck, I'll need it with the way the current grow is going. Problems out the ass at the beginning, smooth easy veg/early flower, problems out the ass mid/late flower, hopefully better equipment/conditions and genetics will help the next one along.

Seedsman tracking number decided it would work now, and I have to say they got my stuff in the mail and to the US very quickly. Shipped out on the 23rd, arrived in US on the 24th, and has been sitting in Los Angeles since 2:30am on the 25th. Hopefully the feds out west aren't tearing my shit up again.

No update today on tracking. Seedsman order is still sitting in LA, they sent it insured and tracked meaning I have to sign for it which is sort of a pain in the ass but hopefully that will get it through customs.

I realized that I didn't get guaranteed shipping from Attitude. I figured that paying for stealth would include a resend if it got seized but I guess not. Hopefully my Attitude pack makes it through and if not I'll contact customer support explaining my fuck up and offer to pay for the guaranteed delivery if they don't go for it.

What stealth did you go with attitude? Ive received countless orders from them all no issues.. over 12 in the last 3 yrs
I think I went with socks or clothing item or something along those lines. Paid roughly $15 USD then another $15 for shipping. I'm hoping that customs isn't doing something along the lines of "let's watch all the international stuff going to this address now that we stopped this one thing". I may be paranoid though as I smoke sativas and sativa dominant hybrids pretty much all day unless I'm about to go to sleep. The package from Seedsman looked sketchy as fuck and I can understand why they stopped it. Thin gray plastic envelope taped shut with no return address. They probably squeezed it and felt the seeds in there no problem.

@Ghostfox Any update on your Seedsman order? I put in an order on Oct 7 and they have confirmed my payment and am awaiting their arrival to the states.

Yeah that sucks it's still sitting there. Mine actually ended showing up yesterday.
I imagine my address is probably flagged at this point. International packages with no return address are a flag to begin with, it wouldn't kill seed banks to ship with a return address from an industrial area.

I have used seedsman many times. I found it much faster, more selection and reliable than attitude. nothing but good things to say about seedsman.

Socks is the best option..(ive had 100% success rate this yr using socks @ Attitude). I never put return address and yes if they intercepted one parcel going to that address they may have you flagged..I would of switched addresses if I were you..if the Attitude package gets seized atleast you have a full refund or resend to look forward to..I would def change addresses if you do resend..and different name.

Seems like you order the exact same way I did. I can't really have it sent to another address, I moved to Colorado from the south and don't really know anyone here that I trust enough to know I grow.

I plugged the Royal Mail tracking number from Seedsman into USPS tracking and it says my order was processed through on October 25th at 2am and then right below that "Origin Post is preparing shipment" so hopefully that means they'll be here tomorrow. A bit of a bitch though because I have to sign for it which means I have to wake up early as the mail comes before I wake up.

But in other news all of my RDWC fittings come tomorrow, so hopefully if both come I can get some new plants started. Probably going to run Kalashnikova auto flowers 12/12 from seed and throw in any other auto flowers I'm getting when they get here.
