Seeds?

hey everyone, so im about to germinate my first seeds and i only wanna sprout about 4 out of my 10 seeds possible..... now is there any "rule of thumbs" that i should be looking for while im making this choice of which seeds, or does the outside of the seed not tell you much

the outside of seed doesnt tell anything

..afcorse if seeds dont have any crashes or smth

if they crack and are starting to sprout, plant them. germing is extremely simple
