Seeds storage questions.

Ive had my seeds in a container and its been pretty hot lately. I know you are meant to have them in the fridge but i havent. Just hid them in a cupboard.
Anyway its been hot lately so will it shock seeds going from 31'C inside to being put in the fridge?
The seeds are between 4 and 6 months old.

i don't think it will hurt them, just make sure they're good and dry. they don't have to be stored permanently in the fridge, the purpose behind that is to "trick" them into thinking they laid on the ground all winter, so they'll harden off and get ready for spring. after that, they can be stored anywhere as long as its dry and not outrageously hot or cold.
Rose growers have done this for year, if you don't refrigerate rose seeds for a couple of months, they can take up to a year to germinate

Yeah I buy those little "jewlery" storage containers with all the different compartments and put them in there with rice to suck up moisture. Cover with a towel as they shouldn't be getting light either.
