Bought several seeds last week for approximately £40 which were
3x Samsara Supersonic Cristal Storm Auto
3x Green-o-matic AK Auto
I Put them in between two wet paper towels as I normal do, left in a warm dark place for 24 hrs, checking them every 6-8 hours for signs of life and keeping them moist.
Well this went on for 2 days! So in desperation of thinking it was something I was doing wrong, I doubled checked ph, temp and for light leaks, nothing. This really pissed me off! nothing to go on, so I put in a Dinafem deep grapefruit freebee from The Attitude I got with my seeds and within 8 hours it had cracked and was showing its tap root!
So after a lot of stressing and smoking my self dumb while thinking I had lost my entire order, (except freebie (which takes the piss)) I Pulled out all the seeds and had a good look at them, I could only describe them as looking like tiny coconuts, light brown with marbling effect, normal to me expect for being slightly lighter in colour. So I spent most of the night and the early morning Googleing and searching for posts of any other ways to get them to crack. Non, other than re germing them by allowing them to dry and then putting them in the fridge (I didnt fancy that) it was only then I discovered a post on a non cannabis site about filing one of the edges to make a tiny hole to allow water to get inside, that gave me the idea to scratch the seed with a knife. To my total surprisement I found that it outer coating was like a coconut husk which when removed revealed the darker shell Im use too. I then put it back into the towel last night and this morning it had hatched, HAHAH I had cracked it!
Today Ive spent the last hours scratching seeds hope to give you more news later tonight! Fingers crossed!
So before you bin your non cracking seed please try this!
P.S Dont cut your thumbs off!
