seeds going yellow after re potting in canna coco soil ph at 6.0 run off 6.5 ????? does this sound right me a new grower n needs some advice please keep em green
i am thinking ita a ph problem but the 1 s at the back seem to be ok and no nutes have been added yet shall i start to tickle there taste buds yet ???????????????/
Hey just started using coco myself and I'm noticing that my leaves on my clones and seeds are paler yellow than what I get with pro mix. I've since added a low strength fert and they are greening up a little. From what I've read you need to add something with coco from the start because there is no nutrient at all, just be careful not to overfert when they are young
I mix up full strength nutes to hydrate my coco from brick even if I'm going to use it on seedlings. Coco needs to be "pre-charged" with calcium and magnesium. Some comes precharged and some doesn't.

can anybody tell how to quick fix a low ph problem asap i have flushed with ph 6.0 with plenty of run off but its been a week and no change they have been stuned for over 2 weeks SHALL I JUST RIP OUT AND START AGAIN LOL ??????????????????????? HELP ME OUT ON MY MELLOW YELLOW SHRUBS
i know the feeling mate its shite might just rip out and start over what soil is best RECOMENDED AND NUTES ECT ECT I DO KNOW MY PEN WAS OUT SO I WAS PH VERY LOW ABOUT 4.0 IT WORKED OUT AT I THINK LOL I HAVE JUST FLUSHED THEM THROUGH SO C WAT HAPPENS IN NXT WEEK IF NOT DESTROY THE LITTLE CUNTS
just go with fox farm, or mix your own for soil. use hydroton/ rockwool for hydro. i used coco for aeroponics. it ended up clogging all my sprayers cuz they are shit. dont pluck them yet, since they might recover. just fix the pH and give em time.
oh those soil ph meters always suck. you want to water the seedlings till the run off comes out. then collect and measure the run off with a drop test or a ph meter.
if you are doing soil, your ph should be around 6.5. your soil is more acidic, which causes your output to be lower than input. i am still questioning the accuracy of your ph meter. why dont you get a drop tester from your hydro store and measure it? you can use that as the control
yes got a brand new pen the other day its bang on now like i said i flushed a few days ago with ph 6 and run off was 5.9 shall i up my ph to around 6 .2 then to try and up it because my ph before was around 4 with the old pen it was way off lol
Your run off is still high. In coco it's very important to keep ph at 5.8. Also have you fed them yet? I've ran coco for four years with no probs, like I mentioned ph is very important in this medium. You also can start feeding right out of the box too. I run advanced ph perfect and once the seeds pop they go into a plug with some piranha the next morning the heads are up and receive their first feeding. It's like any medium there is certain things that are unique about it. Just have to play around till you fig it out brutha.
