I am in the 7th week of flowering and I am starting to see some seeds forming but they also have white hairs coming from some of them, is this normal?? and how many seeds are acceptable to have??

Also, I am a newbie remember, where do I find the trichomes on the plant??

thanks for the help.

The white hairs or pistils will 'die' or turn reddish brown once seeded. The ones that stay white are still growing and are unseeded.

How many seeds is acceptable? As few as possible really - sounds like you've either got a hermie or cross pollination from somewhere else.

I've attached a pic of one of my buds, on an old plant, it's not a great pic of Trichomes but you see those little white 'furry' crystals covering the leaves? Those are Trichomes.

Babygrow, thank you very much for the reply, I really appreciate the information on the trichomes. The seeds have me baffled, I wonder if I should just go ahead and harvest now or take it until the white hairs are 80 percent red????

You're welcome.

It's hard to give you any specific advice on harvest time as there's just so many different variables involved. Have a read through this thread and if you've got any questions, please feel free to ask them here.

KyleJ and BabyGrow,

Thanks again for going the extra mile and answering such an "In-depth" question. After reading Babygrow's thread and viewing Kylej's pics there is no question as to when the harvest should take place. Thank you again and I only wish you were close enough to share with you what the trichomes are all about!!!!
