How could I start plants for a very remote guerilla grow in BC? Greenhouse? I was contemplating building a shed and running t4s over 200 seedlings for about 4 weeks but the only way I could do that would be with a generator and that would get so expensive. Also solar panels but they are hellllla spensy. Please + rep to anybody. THank you

Well mate, I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you are trying to do. Do you need to make 200 seedlings in a shed in a remote place to plant out there? Or can you make the 200 seedlings at home and then transport them up to the remote area?

If it is the former, then I would be doing some seed bombs instead of making seedlings. You could make a heavy perlite or vermiculite (basically something that would hold on to some water) soil mix and put that in some holes in the remote area. Then place balls of clay and compost with one seed in it on top of the soil. Water and away it should go.

If it is the later, then why not grow out 10 seeds at home and make as many clones from the ones that are female in stead of making 200 seedlings and only getting 100 females...

Cheers

Thanks man that was a brilliant idea about the clones. But see I don't think I could Plant seeds straight into the ground in the harsher British Columbia weather. I would have to have them inside under colitis for at least a couple of weeks right? I guess I could transport 200 Plants hhahahaa but that's pretty unlikely. So what I figured was I need to make a mini grow shed to start sOme seedlings in until they get big enOugh to go outside. Thanks

Years ago when i used seeds iwould make a nursery, i put them in jiffy pots in a bread crate wrapped in bird wire(stop rats and mice) and just put it in grassy area in almost full sun, water with a can every 2 days and had great success, they last about 2 weeks before they start growing thru the wire.

I think a greenhouse should do you fine if it only for 2 weeks before planting. The water situation would be the problem, but if you can get to it every few days then you are all good. Every few days however seems unlikely if it is as remote an area as i picture. You should start 4-500 if you want 200 females to make it to maturity. You can put a few hundred seedlings into a small greenhouse and it should protect them from the cold early spring nights. Also i always thought if you could line the bottom of your greenhouse with some flagstones it would retain some warmth through the night.
