T5 - 24” light low watt hung 18” above
Room temp average 75F
Water temp 72F
5.8-6.0 PH
tap water with initial ppm 140 (500 scale)
With solution 260 (500 scale)

Current culture solutions ran (half srecomended strength)
2 Gallon in EZ Cloner
.25 Ml - UC Roots
2ML - Veg A
2ML - Veb B
2 teaspoon 35% h2o2 every 3 days

My failure i believe started right from the word go. I used Rock wool instead of provided plugs in RO wanted none PHed. I also ran the cloner 24/7. I’m guessing I severely over watered and maybe waited to long for nutrients. I’ve now timed the cloner 1hour on 2 off. On girl seems to far gone with the leaves crisp. Others are gaining purple spots and I’m trying to save further failure. Genetics are from a good source also Big Bud as I assumed it would be an easier crop for a first time gF1E2B89A-F76C-41AC-ACD0-63F2BA0CE1FC.jpeg 5F5B67FA-373B-4EE9-A336-18391F603DFB.jpeg 0A018F3D-2F04-4301-9FED-71300410698D.jpeg row.

light is too much, back it WAAAY off, take out all but one bulb in the t5 and back it off like 36"..... transplanting sprouts into a cloner sounds pretty rough on a tiny sprout, I run about the same PPM for seedlings

Start them where you want it doesn't matter as long as you do it right. What wattage is your t5? Doubt you need to move it further tbh, (but I haven't run a cloner for 9 years) , I run 300 w 6inch away. Definitely is underwatered, that's why they've gone crispy, even though it looks similar to ph issue it's not. They should be ok now you know what's wrong, keep em on a more regular watering and they should recover as long as ph and everything else is boxed off

You think they are under watered? I was assuming I over watered. I ran the cloner 24/7 continuesly. Only thing I can imagine is I didn’t feed any nutrients with PHed water. Also I had the light higher and they stretched to the point they all wanted to fall over. I am running 20-4 schedule.

I’ve wondered if the light was way to much though. Maybe I should try softer lights and I’m burning them?

Also I’m running a UC 8xl once I get to that point. How else are you supposed to start your sears off? Germinate, Rockwool in cloner, then transplant to UC buckets.

You need to get them out of that cloner and into pots with your medium of choice. All i see disaster in the making.

How long in the medium before they go into the current culture which seems to be even more of a shocking environment? I assumed to train the seeds in a familiar invironment like the turbo cloner and then off to the UC site. I’m trying to stay true to hydroponics.

Here's the deal.

Those plants need to grow. That cloner is not going to be able to support those plants.

You need to get some 3 -5 gallon containers with some Happy Frog or something similar and let those girls do what they do. Just saying

That cloner is not where you want those seedlings to be

Or if you're doing hydro you need to get them ready and cloners are for clones not seeds. It will work but it definitively is not the best method.

Ok so maybe I’m going at this in all the wrong measures. Regardless of my tools and nutrients. So what I need to figure out is a new meathod Of propagation before transplant.
