Seedling Won't Open?

1 seedling opened up within 48 hours fine and had its first leaves, but for some reason, another seedling won't open up. It seems to have taken a nice root, and I tried touching it, but it has just come up with a seed on a stem. No leaves or any sign of them. Is it fucked up or will it ever grow normal?

This is like 4 days after put in soil.

its gotta drop the shell of the seed before the cotyledons appear.

you gotta take a toothpick or something and carefully try poppen the seed off of it.

The same thing happened to me with one of my seeds. I let it go for a few days and then the seed started to open up more and finally I had to gently take the seed off. It ended up being fine and is happily growing.

I had a problem recently where 2 of my 6 seeds came out of the soil with a stem and seed on top. I misted them with a water bottle and about an hour later the shell on one was loose enough to slide off easily. the second one didn't come. a couple days later I read putting a drop of spit on the shell helps. So I did, sure enough about an hour later the shell had already come off. chalk it up to what you want, but I am saying it was the spit lol.

I had the same problem with 2 of my 5 seedlings. 1 of the 2 came off on its own in a few days whereas the other one I had to manually take it off. If you don't take the seed shells off it'll temporarily slow their growth. Use tweezers or whatever you can get your hands on. I couldn't keep my hand steady enough or get a good grip on it with tweezers so I just used my fingernails to gently remove it.
