they are in 1.5x1.5 rockwool cubes sitting on hydron clay pellets.i was thinking just a splash every other day.make the roots search for the moist clay and water .any info.
 
depends what kind of system? hand watering? if the roots of your seedling are coming out of the bottom then the plant isnt totally dependant on moist rockwool, if the seedling still needs water from the RW then just keep it moist, not overly soaking, if you are topfeeding never drip water directly on the RW always go around, this will encourage the roots to seek out that water, if its flood and drain keep the RW 1/2inch above the flood line to avoind overly wet RW, now if you are handwatering hydroton that just sucks as they will need to be water a few times daily
 
just keep the rock wool cube moist water fly right threw them thats why its best to get like a drip system going
