Seedling trouble

I have just put in my sprouted seeds in peat pots and put them outside for 2 days now. Only two out of 12 popped up so far and one looks really brown. Is this normal? What should I do? Ooh yeah I left the plastic grow tray on top. When should I take it off? Please respond soon me and my seedlings would be grateful.

good idea to keep clear plastic tray on top, but as far as outside, where you located?? is it warm at night? I keep mine indoors to germinate so it will be under a controlled climate.

im in cali. It was real hot and I fried all but a couple. I tried germing 3 under a grow light and all three grew really fast with no problems. I will learn from this mistake. Only germing indoors from now on.

what i do is germinate in a wet paper towel on a plate covered by a cup and then put it under my bed. when they have a little white root comming out put them in a cup of soil and put some clear plastic wrap over the cup acts like a greenhouse until it sprouts out of soil then take it off and let it grow

Yeah i germed 95% but I cooked them cuz i put em in peat pots and out in the hot sun. that weekend was the first hot weekend we had. ooh well, i just hope the ones that survived will be stronger plants because of it
