Seedling Trouble... Help Plz. Lots of pics

Hey all...

Im getting a bit concerned about my lil girls. They are almost a week old. and the leaves are curling a bit... and today i spotted some spotting on the leaves. I also have some browning. Ouch. I have them in a bubbleponics system with distilled H20. PH was about 6 when i started it up the bubbleponics 6 days ago. It was 7 last night and I adjusted back down to about 6 and added some more distilled water. I have them under 2 100W 6500K CFL lights 24-0. Lights are about 3" off the plants. Smaller plant is BC Chronic, the other is bag seed (larger of the 2). Humidity is around 40%, Temps are around 80 or so under the lights. No nutes yet. Are they craving nutes? Too warm under the CFL's? I don't have a green thumb????

i would start adding a low dose of nutes. even though that they say not to use nutes from seed i always have just at a very low strength. they might be a little heat stressed as well.

Ill back the lights off a bit... and add some nutes (GH- 1/4 strength) to my H20. Do these look like survivors??

one thing those cubes looked soaked, let them dry out some

my babies where having the same problem so I started to give them nutes and they shot right back up, the brown spots stayed though.

I hope they start growing... they have not grown in a couple of day. I added the nutes last night.

Give them a full day to recover and you should see results in the morning. I hope it helps keep us posted!

Im crossing my fingers... not looking great tonight. Ill post pictures tomorrow. Ive backed the lights about 8 inches from the seedlings and started GH nutes last night. PH tonight was about 5.7. Hoping the I will get some fresh growth that will look healthy. Roots look good... and growing.

Ph is perfect then, see i never had luck with 24 lights when i went to 18 they started to growth spurt and the spurt always looks like after a nice rest

I would put the lights at about 4" away, they will stretch and get lengthy. Just keep a small fan blowing in between the lights and your babies.

Ok... I'm willing to kick it down to 18/8 on the lighting. Do you think i should kill the lights during the night and give them complete darkness... or kill them during the day... and allow them to still get some ambient light and some natural sunlight? Today... i have some slight growth on one of the babies... but it as really slow... and when I say growth... im talking i can see where new leaves will come up... but they are maybe 1mm right now. I cant believe these lil girls are giving me so much trouble. I started a couple of tomato plants 3 weeks ago and they are monsters. Ill post some pics later tonight. Thanks all!

OK... here is the update... My babies are doing great!!! New growth is nice and green... and all this in just 2 days... the nutes are working and i backed the lights away. I'm thinking they were way too close to the babies. Im keeping the lights on 24/0 - I didn't want to add any additional stress to the lil ones. Thanks all for the help. I couldn't do this without you!
