Seedling stems not straight, why?

Started from seed in ROOTIT starters. Two days ago when roots were coming out the bottom of the sponge I transplanted to Grodan 3"block. Leaves have developed, but the stems are not straightening out? Any ideas?

It's nothing, relax. They're never completely straight at that size, and they grow toward the light.

Thanks! I think that is the majority of my problems... Patience. Lol. I am growing in a NFT Grotank 205, I just want make sure I am doing this right, do I have to wait until I see roots on the outside of the grow block before I drop them in to the tank?

Agreed.

Are you useing a cfl? If so, you may want to lower it to about 5-6" from plants, then 1-4" once full veg mode kicks in. (ignore if you already did this) It's hard to tell in the picture what height your light is at.

they can handle closer than 5-6 inches that is how you get stretch.
mine has had 4 cfl 23w 5000k about 1 inch from it since sprout with fan blowing at canopy.
its about 2 in tall and 5 inches wide on its 4th node. its sprouted 2-1.

Many thanks for the responses, all very helpful. I actually can't lower my light anymore without overheating the plants. I was told that this lamp has a 900w ouput, not sure on that as I can't find anything on the bulb Or ballast. Here are a couple pics of the light.

Yes, patience is a problem when beginning to grow. My girl is getting close and it looks Christmas every afternoon when I take her out of the dark. It's so hard to wait so be prepared because it'll get worse on your patience. My main cola is forearm sized but has yet to swell and swallow the hairs. So be prepared to have your patience on edge for about the next 3-4 months. Easy on the nutes, start at 1/4 strength and work up weekly. You'll be pleased with your results. Good luck!

my bad only 3 yesterday i posted today and have 4 today.
mr canna better count again there is def 4 nodes visible with the new growth on top even yesterday.
its missing one of the second nodes so when i top i will only have 3 main stems instead of 4.
i may be a newb but can def count alternating nodes.

Im sorry to burst your bubble. Some of those leaf branches will never grow bud. So i am sorry to say again. You still don't have 4 nodes. You are almost there though.
