So I got my new hlg 600R up to 560W so far 30” above canopy @ 83.5F & my leaf temp is at 78.5F. Looks possible that I will be able to keep temps in range when I get up to 608W.
So I just popped some more beans & they just broke the surface today. My question is about how close should I put them under the hlg @ 560-608W (I’m slowly increasing the watts for my preflowering autos). If I was not doing autos I would adjust the light for 300W @ 30” however that is not a option at the moment so is full power @ 60” about the same par as I would get from half power @ 30” or does the law of thermodynamics (I think it is) increase exponentially? If so in that case 45”?
