3rd Gro Here...
I have ten Sage n' Sour seeds that are almost two full weeks old and they range from 2-3" tall above top of the rockwool block but they have seemed to completely stalled.
I germ'd them using the paper towel method like I have done in the past, all ten tapped. I put them in pre-soaked (distilled water) 1" starter rockwool cubes under 6 54W T5 CFLS about 6-8" away, 24/7 lighting. My humidity is a bit low in my opinion so I also have them under an overly-vented humidity dome. In about two days all ten sprouted and look great. Another three days I then moved them to 4"x4" rockwool blocks that were also pre-soaked, all ten starter cubes had roots shooting out below them. Shortly after the second set of leaves grew in nicely just like they have before and stretched 2-3" tall or so. I have never let the blocks fully dry out, they get watered twice a day or enough to maintain dampness. I typically water them from the bottom or around the outsides of the rockwool block. I thought I was on my way to another successful cycle...
I am now about a full week later and no signs of any further growth. The seedling appears to be healthy, no leaf discoloration has occurred or anything but they have been the same size for about 8 days. I removed the humidity dome and have a fan blowing very very lightly on them so "exercise" them. None of the blocks have any signs of roots appearing below them like the starter cubes did.
The past two grows I have not moved them to their larger pots until I saw roots shooting below the 4"x4" blocks but I have been reading that if I wait too much longer they are going to start needing to be fed... suggestions?? What am I doing wrong here??
My room temp is about 70 degrees and my humidity is about 50% (thus why I used the dome). Any help would be appreciated!!
