I wonder if you could get a small boost using this before LST.

i was thinking it might be worth clipping a autoflower to rush it along to the 4th or 5th node and then start lst.

Where you can get to lst'ing faster you may get a slight increase in yield, especially if the plant doesnt focus on recovery.

Great idear!,.. Subbed !

I haven't tried it on an auto flower, I don't run them. I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

4 days old since they broke soil, so 3 days to clip. I'll post a pic on day 6 so everybody can choose the one to clip. By night of day 7, the one with the most votes gets snipped. Before and after pics, then the awaited week of growth difference.

So, I had to reconfigure my tent for flowering today... I fucked up. I swapped the LED and T5 out of the tent, got them set up, put the plants under and went to town in the tent.

Got done, burn break, and then I saw it... I had the T5 TOO LOW. They were almost in the bulbs, I never bumped it up a couple clicks.

So they are a little bleached and the tips are a little toasted. They'll recover, but I feel like an asshole.

They actually look much more green in the pics. They are more yellow in person.

So, took the liberty of popping 2 new seeds in hempy solos this time, much quicker.

I'm going to leave these go for a few more days but the solos will smoke them. Really sorry about that folks.

I don't know if you can tell in the pics, but the clipt one is growing faster, even though they are both fried to shit.

So, some pops. The larger one has about a day and a half on the one that's just popping. It popped very quick for some reason, but I'm not complaining.

That said, I will clip the youngest one to demonstrate the point. Back to the waiting game. Again, sorry for the fuckup.

Quite the interesting thread, I've followed topping in the past in order to direct growth but I'll be following to see how I might apply this to the home grow in the future!

I culled the 4 weakest, 2 of each. Notice the leaf width of the clipt ones. Also, notice the growth on the 2 best that I put pics of. Lastly, notice the root system of clipt and unclipt. Clipt is on the right in the root pic.
