Seed vs Clone

I have officially leaped off the clone bandwagon. Im tired of my plants sprouting branches in all different angles. 1 plant may give me 1/4 oz, and the other gives me an oz.

With seed.. They are almost the same height. It sprouts 2 branches.. Then almost exactly 90 degrees 2 more branches, all the way up to the top.

Due to the way that the seed will grow a plant. The airflow is easier to control thru the branches.



What are you guys opinions? Ill still clone for other people.. But my crops are seed only!

Man I feel you! I am ordering seeds every other grow now, those clones are a hassle after a few generations.

To each there own but really guys you can control the growth of your clones just as you do with seeds dont like the first couple of nodes bury them and make them roots. I have ordered seeds because i want a new strain but as for clones easier and cheaper

Imho,

Plants from seeds need to mature for quite sometime(8 weeks minimum) to put out good yields, and thick branching.

Plants grown from clones, always seem to do better, and produce more.

I have grown plants from seeds in the past, and they always lacked something in overall growth, yields, and virility and it was because of the immaturity.

But, when I used the clones off of them, i got the real deal in return...Like night and day. Its true.

its a known fact that clones yield more then a seed plant of the same age and conditions...


pros of clones...... less veg req. no males to deal with......uniform grow patterns.......

cons....... always need light for longer periods...... can be a bitch to root if you dont know what ur doing..... looses its vigor over years....{ mother plants}


seeds pros...... you can start growing w/e you want..... easier to transport hundreds of seeds then clones..... dont need elect. for seeds untill they pop

cons..... gotta veg longer then clones for good yield...... males......hermies...... if too old may not sprout...



BUT IMA SEED MAN MYSELF. THOUGH I HAVE GROWN FROM CLONE. and once you inbreed a certain strain to were you want it to be its pretty much grows uniform like a clone to

ive had experience in both..(not lots)..but from my situations evry clone ive had has been different as has every seed....like the guy sais clones cut out the hassle of males n what not,but you get feminized seeds. ive never had a male from a feminized seed yet.to be honest all seeds for sale should be mandatory feminized these days i reckon.lol

choosing your mother plant and perfecting cloning growing. you can refresh your mother plants for more good cloning material . the clones come out the same as the mother ..sativas can be thrown from clone to bud without a veg time.the mother MUST be healthy to throw healthy clones. you can keep your plants uniformed.and the most important thing..when you grow out a batch of seed your going to have a plant that clones easier / matures faster/more productive stronger stone/ better taste than the others..sometimes referred to as a super mother.
if you grow from seed without cloning the genetics you will lose that genetic KEEPER. super mother forever.if you grow out enough good genetics ...plant enough seeds you will find a elite plant.
a clone only strain ...and you can clone that forever.a good male is needed to produce the amount of seeds needed to find that super mother.
