i currently have 3 strains of world class seeds in storage...i have them in small manilla envelopes seperated and labeled...i have these in a pelican brand micro case used to store electronics(rubber seal with a purge diaphram)...in this i also have a 1/2 inch layer of dessicant to absorb moisture...i have this in the bottom drawer of the fridge...is this the best way to store seeds for long term storage?...i have read and saved your threads on this and another site and i dont remember seeing seed storage info...i try to look up info before i ask questions since the answer is usually posted somewhere but i dont recall seeing this anywhere else...thanks for any consideration bro:?:

Jeeze, yeah, it sounds good to me. As long as the container is airtight, and they aren't in light it sounds good.

In my journal I have a bunch of old seeds... I'm starting from seed, for the first time in a while, I've kept clones for years. So, I've hatched some 7 year old DJ short Blueberry, and a few 5 year old bagseeds from Jamaica.

With all the precautions you take it'll be cool. I just kept mine in a dresser drawer. The fridge is probably better, but overkill imo, but my fridge probably doesn't look like yours either. :bigjoint:

You probably have a crisper and deli drawer... :bigjoint:

I'm going to sleep, gotta wake up in 6 hours for work. :peace:

Seeds will keep just fine for 5 years just sitting in a dark dry area.
If you need to extend there life past this use a container with rice and store at 42 degrees. Do not use a home refrigerator the opening and closing of the box will raise and lower the temp of seeds reducing there longevity.

40-45 constant.
