So a couple months ago when elite was still up and running, everyone was complaining about his prices being to high. Now i have been perusing the attitude and other seed sites and talk about expensive. For 6 regular chocolope its 62 bucks. so 120 for 12. To me that pretty expensive. I feel like seed prices are rising rapidly, does anyone else notice this?

Id like to mention that i recently ordered a mix pack from the breedbay from BCO for 30 dollars including shipping. It has some great strains in it.

UltraKush, Pure Kush, Purple Kush, BlackGrape, KushWreck, Purple Chitrali

you cant beat that for 30 bucks. 10 seeds.

i dont think even the best genetics are worth 120 per 10 seeds. IDK maybe its just me but i feel like some of these prices are crazy.

I recently spent 600 bucks on a new setup that will fit 35 plants in it, which mean 35 seeds. If i wanted to get something good like serious seeds Kali Mist, i would need 345 dollars + shipping for 33 seeds. Thats more then half my setup cost. Thats insane to me.

supply and demand...demand for high quality marijuana seeds has clearly gone up the last few years...laws are relaxing, word is getting out that anyone can safely order seeds and the means to grow them over the internet in the comfort of their own home. Every pothead i know is thinking about ordering some seeds and trying to grow em. That wasn't true a couple years ago.

yea but that doesnt mean they have to charge out the wazzu for seeds. I mean they probably get hundreds of thousands of seeds. and not to say they arent good strains but you can buy 10 subcool seeds for 50-60 bucks. Were in a recession and i dont think these prices are reasonable at all. Its just turning into a business market instead of about the genetics and moving the pot community forward.

Seed banks are the biggest rip offs around. These fuckers all have high prices and casually rip off a customer here and a customer there. I wouldn't do business with anyone of them.

I agree with this partly but there are some seedbanks that know how to respect a customer like breedbay. the prices are good and you get good quality seeds all the time.

I just look around and so many seedbanks are just involved in drama or huge prices.

i ordered the same mixed kush pack you did along with a bunch of other stuff. I also won the 150 dollar white widow seeds auction from BC as well. Most I've ever paid for seeds. Hope there worth it. I'm used to growing real good weed out of 30 dollar 10 packs. I like breedbay so far though. Havent actually recieved anything yet. Only thing I dont like is there site is not set up with ease of use as a high priority or so it seems with all the hoops you have to jump through to complete an order.

I've only been doing this for a bout a year, but I have probably seen about an avg 10-15% price increase across the board. I'm not really even taking doggie's nut into consideration here, that might really skew things even further.

I don't really pay attention to exchange rates, but perhaps the us dollar is down as well? Hell, I'm paying 10% more everywhere. Fast food, groceries, utilities, everything seems to be going up.

A lot of people also are going to assume that expensive=quality. They see a $9 GH WW next to a $4 seedsman WW, and the average person will assume that the $9 WW is superior. Is it? Maybe? But seedsman WW gets consistently great reviews. However, the average person will never do any research beyond the seedbank web site.

If you were a full time breeder, would you want to sell your work for $2-3 a seed when all of your peers are charging double or triple that?

Or even worse, some pollen chucker with a few quality strains is having a mass orgy with mary, and selling the resulting og purple widow berry kush skunk haze for $10-20 a seed?

And people buy it all. Have you ever heard of a seed company going out of business from lack of demand?

I'm just stoned and rambling. Smoking some pretty good homegrown bagseed from a friend, ironic as that may be. bongsmilie

Have any of you grown out the BC gear before? They have some really interesting looking strains.

No, I havent even recieved any yet but it looks good and for the 25 buck his stuff is on sale for right now i figured I'd buy a bunch and take a chance. thats the fun part. especially IF it is good stuff.
