What has happened to the market recently? I'm in the USA. It would seem some entity bought up all the seed companies as virtually every site is now a minimum of $29 for a "packet of 3'. This certainly is no coincidence unless their all in cahoots together.

This really piss's me off - not that I didnt expect it to become 'big tobacco' at some point but this is ridiculously soon in the marijuana markets life cycle... not yet even legal in all states.

Used to be able to spend about $60 and pick up six excellent varieties sometimes low as $6-$12 seed on the high end. Now I can only get 3 for $100.

Anybody else have any input on this? I know for a fact the Canadian company I used for years was swallowed up by somebody who also appears to own all the California companies. If you know of other 'decent' more mom n pop outlets please let me know and thank you!

Wow thats alot. I was buying from Bonza seeds in Canada, they were bought out. I only grow about 2 times a year... more than I can smoke. So the seeds start to go bad / wont sprout.

Pacific Seeds in Cali said '2-3 weeks to get the order to USPS' or I would just buy. With the post office so far behind waiting almost a month for them to get the order out is crazy! Ive been in distribution my whole life (not seeds of course) and taking 2-3 weeks just to ship is insane. I could see if one strain was not in stock out of the three I ordered but thats not the explanation I recieved.

I agree and generally they do. I did receive a few from Bonza over the years that just didnt sprout even though new.... so maybe they werent the best but they were cheap and easy to deal with. * Primarily I felt a package coming from Canada was far less suspicious than somewhere else in the world. At this point things have laxed a bit more.
