Second try, blue widow by dinafem 2+ weeks into veg

before this grow i was growing a bagseed which came out a male, but this time i bought blue widow and some other seeds for my second try . im using a dwc hydroponic system with 2 23 watts daylight cfl, for the nute i have technaflora recipie for succes + i give a littlebit of calmag just in case. temps get between 60 night and 75 in day since its winter plus i got a problem with electricity every time im running 2 or more heaters the light goes down in other words no energy. btw the plant is doing great! since im recieving help from riu

on my blue widow, i changed the res today, now at 800ppm its been growing i can smell it too

. ima let it veg for 2 more weeks or till its ge

ts 18 inches... for some reason i cant concentrate right now

. but please leave comments help a grower out

Hell yeah. Lookin good man. Dont be afraid to get those lights closer. If you have a good fan blowing you can almost touch the plant with 23 watters. Your node spacing is lookin good so far but you are going to want to add more lights for flowering. + rep for tight nodes.

hello guys! update time! today was the day, i switched the plants to the 400watt flowering room shes 14inch tall i dont know if its enugh but i will check on that. has anyone tried bloombastic? i got it from a friend told me its the bomb but ima start to use it after 3 or 4 weeks of flowering , right now the ppm is 1300 i hope its about right i cant take a close pic of the plant cam kinda sucks but it has the characteristics of a female other than that the plant looks awesome

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!! ima start it off with an update. this blue widow is doing great shes already showing hairs my very first female plant

i have at 1300 ppm and temps of 68-78f. i had to change the nutrient brand because i ran out of the main bottle =| but other than that shes doing just fine. my cam cant take good close up pix. leave me advice please or any comment

Hello guys!i changed the res of the plant today oh boy shes looking good i guess its my first time growing a female this time you can see the hairs!

but its kinda stretching alot any ideas on how to stop it? but other than that its awesome. smelly too

It could be stretching for the light, it doesn't look too bad, you could tie it down and promote more tops

Yeah i agree with up, tying her down and promoting more tops is the way to go. Never tried bloombastic, but beastie bloomz does wonders.

Im giving the bloombastic after this resevoir change coming up. Its gona be the 3rd week into flowering. About the light, how far is it supose to be? i have a 400hps in a 4x4x7 tent

Its actually like LST low stress training. Once the plant is bent over or tied down the auxins (i think) begin to tell all side branches to grow up. This allows the side branches to grow more, like colas. Check with other experienced growers to find out what the time line is to do this. As far as the light a number of people say the hand test, where you place your hand between lights and feel if it is too hot for you then it is too hot for your plants. Be careful, if those tips start pointing straight up then it may be a sign of heat stress. I did it too mine. One quick question Tex, I am growing 4 BW in soil, mine are almost 5 weeks and they are only 7 inches tall. How tall were yours at 5 weeks.

Once you've reached optimal vertical height, tie down then main cola and make the plant vertical, just be careful the plant can take a lot of bending just do it slowly. As far as the light, what distance is it from the canopy and is it air-cooled? The hand test is good to check if it's too close. My 400 is about 8in away from the canopy, and is air-cooled.

mmm i have it at 10 in. away feels good, dint burn my hand. mine were 11in i think thats when i switched to flowering room i was anxious =X i think its because your growing them in soil mmm i tried it before but had no luck and i still dont know how to grow them in soil

but it dosent matter wat age she is right?i dont have it aircooled tho. ima give it a try after giving it fresh nutes. sounds exciting

Nope, age doesn't matter. The bigger she is the more branches she'll have to make into tops, try it out and you won't regret it

Hey guys!! update time. plant is amazing! doing real good kinda fast too, I increased the ppm to 1500 and added the bloombastic cant wait to see how it turns out omg the nugs are getting fat thanks to the Lst info guys

Awesome man, she looks great! If any of the branches get taller than the main top, tie that branch down as well. The growth hormones go to the highest/tallest top, whether it's the main top or a branch... hopefully that made sense
