Second grow - Blue Cookies from seed

This will be my second grow. Basically the same equipment, will adjust the nutes a bit but using mostly the same. Had a very successful first grow, hopefully it wasn’t beginners luck.

This will be Blue Cookies grown in soil from seed.

I started in RapidRooter. They sprouted super fast, about a day and a half. One I started 3 days earlier to check germination method as I have never done this from seed. Once the roots started showing out the bottom of the starter, I transferred to a 1 gal. Sprinkled some Mykro in the hole before dropping her in. Also each one was planted with about 1.5” of space to the top. When they stretched I added more dirt.

The center is obviously the first one I did

The seeds are from a nug from last time I had to buy. One single nug out of 3oz had some seeds. My hope is he was making seeds and missed a nug. We shall see, if they are hermie I’ll just make it all into hash

They grow so darn fast. Only watered once with a full watering. Still not full strength nutes, only half strength. Using Grow More 30-10-10, then CalMag, silicon solution, and great white

Got 4 nodes on the center one, so I topped it. Seems to be responding well. I also put some sticky traps down, just in case. A full day and nothing stuck so I think I’m ok at the moment.

Any advice is welcome.

Currently have 2 Spider Farmer SF1000’s in a 3x3 tent. Will end up utilizing 4 of them, and an AGLEX 2000 in a 5x5 tent. Total actual watts is 800 +/- a few watts.

My first grow I only had one plant, didn’t have the QB’s till 3 weeks into flower, and it yielded 713g. I’m really hoping to get more this time.

So it is becoming pretty evident now that I have two strains, which I know are Blue Cookies and Ice Cream Cake. I thought I had kept the seeds separate, but I must have got the two containers mixed up. It is clear by the leaves. Some looks more pure indica and some looks more Hybrid.

Hmmmmm maybe create my own strain? Anybody heard of crossing those two before?

I moved them all to my flower tent, because I don’t have anything in flower, and now I won’t have to move them again except to transplant to final pot. Drain trays will be here soon.

I still don’t know how much light they can handle as I am now set up to give up to 800-900 actual watts from the wall. They are 3 weeks from seed. Tent is 5x5, 4 QB’s and an AGLEX2000. 2nd pic is all the lights on. I could turn the QB’s down, and the AGLEX2000 has VEG and Bloom switches.

Suggestions?

Well I made my first couple mistakes already. First mistake, using Black Gold soil and RO water, forgetting CalMag for the first 3 weeks. Not really forgetting but thinking it didn’t need it yet. It did. Showing signs of both Cal and Mag deficiency. Using CalMag now so that should get better. Second mistake, waaay underwatering. Not used to small pots and growth rates yet as this is only my second grow and first from seed. They were drooping bad and I thought it was the change of environment-the switch to bigger tent and different lighting.....it wasn’t. I’ll be checking for water needs more often now. These pics are yesterday morning, I’ll post pics from today later.

They are growing nicely again, Cal Mag deficiency seems to be getting better. Will be transferring to 5 gal fabric pots this holiday weekend.

Transplanted to a 5 gal on the one that’s a few days ahead. Roots look good, it was time. Watering only lasting a day. I will get the others done over the next few days. The runt of the group is looking good. It looks like a runt but has the same amount of nodes as everybody else

Well, I couldn’t wait, plus the roots look like they needed some stretching room. Have one more to do, ran out of dirt

Roots must be moving into their new homes, they look happier. Turned my tent so I can get to both doors to make it easier to water. It’s about to get a bit crowded

All transplants done, deficiencies seem to be not getting worse. Waiting for it to fill out, hopefully just a couple weeks at most then switch to 12/12. Also going to wait for the runts flower sites to get above the big fan leaves. The others seem to have taken their topping ok

They seem happy this morning, makes me happy looking at them. This is so much fun, and i get meds so I don’t have to take a million pills. This is great!

Just testing things out to see if I want to use this screen on this grow, and if I do if I want to use it as the bottom layer screen again, but since I’m not making these all super wide like last time (8plants in a space I had one in before) I might only need one screen

I’ve decided to use it, don’t really have anything else. Worked well last time, I think it will work even better this time. And I don’t think I’ll need three layers as the branches won’t be going almost sideways lol
