was one of the 1000 that received the dorito's from the police in turn I gave them a caramel :)

I ended up trading 2 caramels for 2 pipes....First one has liquid inside the pipe

Second one has inside art work

Hey what a great day Friday at Hempfest, I only wish I could have been there the whole weekend.

Nonetheless I am thinking about NW Harvest Fest Cannabis Cup Sept 6-7 now for I really want to go to a true bud tasting event. The sad thing is my own will just be drying around this time. Hmm.Hope TGA will be represented there.

Oh well I know how good my BC taste I am though now anxious to taste and compare some of the best.

I did find the TGA Dank Booth and picked me up some Chernobyl pack for $40 must be feminized at that cost? Will probably head back or send a friend to pick up some
Jack da ripper and Vortex to add to my collection.

The best part of my day though was meeting the man, the godfather of pot Ed Rosenthal.
We discussed passive hydroponics and how I have implemented the knowledge he has shared into my own passive system. I thanked him for imparting his knowledge and advised on how I might improve on the work I am doing now and promised to send pictures and updates. Meeting someone such as him and what he has done was so freaking cool. I can’t express my gratitude other than perhaps someday maybe I’ll have the pleasure of providing him some of my frosty tasty bud passionately, passively and organically grown bud that will put a smile on his face.

He has this awesome topical aloe vera and cbds spary. It works nicely also some great organic mildew and pest control products as well.

There will be FAR superior genetics than TGA in Bow, I know of a few already planning to enter. I didn't go last year but hear it was a sweet event!! Those TGA for $40 thats the show price always, I got the same 5pack back in 2011. We got some killer local breeders (NW47 booth) and a few more breeders I know will be at the event in Bow, save a little $$ for that one!!

Haven't been in years. The numbers who come boggles the brain compared to the early dayz, that seemed huge then. Still have shirts from the '98' and '99' Hempfest. Hardly worn, the '98' is one of the best looking inspired artwork. Can't wear 'em too many places anyway. I remember one year the City Council didn't allow the sale of any pipes/bongs. That came to an abrupt end a year later when the cash flow wasn't there after the ban year. If enough $$$ is flowing, city officials suddenly forget their rash convictions. Lol.

Edit: A last thought. I remember getting a kick out of going just to watch attending law enforcement being forced to just have to bite their lower lip and do nothing, though the smell of cannabis whafted thru most of Myrtle Edwards Park. But now I recognize that was naive and is part of what perpetuates the problem. Playing into the whole drug war mentality, imagining some future victory, blowing smoke in cop's faces, walking down the streets with joint, pipe or bong in hand, etc. is disrespectful and inappropriate for a host of reasons. That's why my role model is none other than Seattle's own Rick Steves. Realize that vast numbers who enjoy cannabis for many reasons would never attend any of the popular summer marijuana venues. The reason we stopped going was we began to realize we just couldn't relate to most in attendance.

Jar Man, I did think it was a little bit too much of a younger crowd, but I did find folks I could relate too and it was very interesting to see the latest medical uses of creating topical heavy with CBD and various other insights to how spectacular cannabis really is. I do agree with you about the in your face issue. However if I am in a place where alcohol can be consumed then cannabis should be allowed especially in a non smoke matter, such as vaporizers or drinks ect. I agree smoke should be outside with the other smokers and never blown into anyone's face or general space should not be a designated smoking area.

DANKSWAG, you are right about there being something unexpected of value in the midst of the younger off-the-wall set. Nothing against them, I kinda' was more their sort in the day too. The speakers often have something motivatingly eye-opening to say you don't hear or read elsewhere. And seeing all the glass gear is great. My wife and I met Joanna Mckee and Stitch Miller (old Seattle Green Cross) and was temporarily a supplier for them in 99-2000 when we lived in South Park, not far from their little place in West Seattle before they moved. But u got me. My mentor from when I started in the late 70's has been the man u got to meet (sigh). Still have an old copy of MGG from the old And/Or Press. And a spiral edition from 1990 from Red Eye.

Jar Man that is awesome you have memorabilia compared to the photos I have, but nothing can top meeting him and shaking his hand. This memory and experience will probably be once in a life time event for me. This best I can do is share with you what happen. Who knows I do intend to continue to write and send photos of the passive hydro system as he asked me to do. Have yet to hear back from first inquiry but hey he probably gets a lot of email at [email protected]. Perhaps I may meet up with him again and perhaps you can be there too that would be cool.

I am about to wrap up on a system in progress so I will have fresh photos soon that he requested of roots growing through the cloth pots into the reservoir, will see if he replies back once I send those in. Nonetheless it would be a sweet day to see the material that has been your lamp post for you, it would be cool indeed.
