Switching over to the SOG method next cycle through. This board has been absolutely amazing... bursting with smart people with great ideas. I do thank you all, my sincere hope is that I've provided some help to those in need as well.

That said, let's talk about SOG!! Unless I somehow get talked out of it by someone with lots of experience with White Widow... the plan is grow Widow in the SOG format for my upcoming cycle. I've never grown Widow but I think it's a decent one for this type of method.

It seems there's two Phenotypes of the Widow, I have the one that doubled in size during flower, and gets a tad more branchy than some of the other Phenos.

I am planning to use SunShine#4... not yet decided on how large the pots will be. I'm running 3.6K watts, and have 4X4 tables under each of my lights. I plan to put around 50 clones under each light... give them three to four days to settle into their new homes... and off to flowering we go!

I like Al B. Fuct's method of having multiple different stages of growth, but because I seemingly have a constant battle with spider mites... I'm not sure I can break it into as many different phases as I couldn't use some of my methods of killing those fuckers with plants near to harvest only a few feet away! For this reason, I think I'll break it up into two different batches... one with 2K watts, and the other with 1.6K watts, and split them up a few weeks.

I also have access to a purple strain that is doing wonderfully for a friend, but I'm a bit cautious of making the system more complex with multiple strains... especially since SOG is new to me.

Thanks in advance!

If you guys can post your experiences and also answering the following:

-Medium Used

-Watering Method

-Plants per square foot

-Strain used

-Size of tables

-Amount trimmed off bottom

-Yield

Etc

I did sog run before last of ecsd, bubblegum and trainwreck. all from clone. One ecsd in a dwc. foxfarm nutes for flower, alaska fish fert for veg. veged for maybe a week after rooted. medium was bionacare's coco bales in 12 gallons containers 20 something plants. 600 hps. I had very nice colas. thebiggest probably train wreck. the bubble gum didnt look like sog they grew to full size plants crazy thick stems for sog. with 20 plants I think my yield was 6 oz i think maybe a lil more. last run did full size supered crop vegged for 2 months. with the same strains but only two plants. but had alot smaller colas but had 50 on each plant next run only topping twice and thats it..... :joint:N:peace:

I have no problem sending diffrent strains thru my system. Obviously you need to have strains with the same time frame. If you do it right you will enjoy it, but it can also be alot of work! I am doing a hydro SOG and have been for a longtime.
