hey everyone , new member but long time lurker to rollitup. This is my second grow.
id like some advice on whether i should trim my scrog below the screen
My grow is soil 25 L bucket (6 gallon) 1m x 1m x2m tent with 400w hps and 9x 25w cfl's 1 plant that has been topped twice months ago and was vegged out doors and is 4 days into flowering ' i made up a screen to get an even canopy.
i have the 9 cfl's in home made reflectors below the screen to get light to the lower buds

My question is should i continue with my method? or trim below the screen and move the cfl's above the screen to give light to the edges of screen where the light from the hps isnt as strong? also the canopy is quite thick at day 4 of flowering and doesnt let much direct light through

Any other tips or suggestions welcome oh and the plant is a superskunk grown from seed

why are you using side lighting for a sgrog imo i would put them 2 lights ether side of the one obove the plants to encourage the plants to go up to the sgrog quicker for training them in and out of the scrog?

I'd trim everything that's not going to reach the screen and everything under it too, so your basically left with naked stems under the screen. I agree with cordlesskettle that you should put those side lights over the plant. You want the plants to focus all the energy to the top of those stems(bud sites) and not waste energy on small popcorn buds under the screen

couldnt agree more get the screen filled out and strip the bicth down

How far is the screen from the pot?
For grow #3, you may want to lower it. Here is an interesting thread on scrogging
"This particular scrog method in this tutorial is different in that you use specific training in veg to grow a short, wide plant allowing you to get the screen down to 6-8" so that undergrowth that is normally stripped can become useable, viable bud. For traditional scrogging like your plant, I suggest lollipopping it just after the stretch"

You strip every below the screen today, you don't have much plant left !
You may want to give everything a chance to get above the screen first, then strip underneath. You may have another 7 days+ of stretch left.

This makes a lot of sense to me , I haven't attacked it with scissors yet, so I'm guessing you mean pull the branches down so they are horizontal so the under growth becomes part of the canopy , this should fill the 1x1 m tent up nicely , thanks for the advice
