SCROG - to pinch or not to pinch?

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some advice please. This is my first grow and I am doing a SCROG. What I am wondering is should I pinch out my plants to produce 2 colas or just leave them growing 1? Could someone please tell me the advantages and disadvantages involved and which method is best for for a SCROG grow?

with one top it takes longer for it to get mature,with two it takes a little less time.

your best bet if you have room is to bend the plant over with string a little every 2 days then all the branches turn into tops .

Thanks for that - I am growing them in a bud box tent using a yield shelf so could i pinch them, then train them into the yiled shelf as they grow or will this be too many branches to train?

You can bend and train them to cover the screen filling in any gaps to get even light distribution and penetration.

how many weeks have you been veging? if you are doing a scrog I would top them a couple of times that way you have more colas, you can bend them through different screens so you get a nice even canopy allowing more even light and bigger buds. If I were you I would also look into supercroping.

it is where you pinch your plant and bend it over to change the grow pattern, it also makes the stalk stronger so it can hold more weight. here is a video on how to do it.
