ScROG square footage?

How much square footage per plant do you need in general for a ScROG grow? The stickied thread in advanced growing says a 'minimum of 1 square foot per plant'.

I know it kinda depends on plant and veg time, but I'm wondering what you all tend to do. I'm looking at these ScROG photos and a lot of those plants look huge (more than 1 square foot).

If you can comment on the type of strain you use: indica, mostly indica, etc. and how long you veg, that would help too.

i was going to bring this topic up actually as im wanting to do a scrog next grow. ill have wonder woman and maui waui both from nirvana.
