I took some time off and I'm going crazy not having at least one small plant going... I have a 20x20 x 4 ft tent that fits one small plant. Probably use my 150 HPS and a 4 inch Fan and Filter.

I'll probably pop a Bubba 76 seed since I love the diesel smell of my last one.

Here is my question.. To get the best and fastest coverage in the screen would it be a good idea to start the plant as a mainline so that I have 4 shoots pointing North South East and West?

For instance top at 3rd node and keep shoots from 2nd node so I have a total of 4 shoots. One shoot for each direction..Then just let it grow up into the net?

i would bend them under and then flip when you have enough tops. i would let them grow 2 inches or more above the screen at a time before i pull them under just be careful not to break the branches.

You'd get the same effect of your "mainline start" by just Uncle Ben topping and get it going sooner.
