Too bad it doesn't regulate jack shit.

I hereby direct you to propose revisions to modernize and streamline the existing overtime regulations.
All this MEMO does is ask the Sec of Labor to come up with some ideas.

Wow Sky, you premature ejaculate every time the President uses his phone or pen don't you?

Aren't sales and IT usually not compensated for hours? I know I am not. The Labor commission in CA says we have no complaints below 80 hrs a week for salary employees.

I've pulled so many all nighters, it just has to been done. And there is no extra pay. I've done all night more than once in month when all I was making was only $18K a year, and a company car.

I have worked on the Railroad as a conductor for several years. Some weeks were 120 hours long, no overtime. One month I racked up 516 hours in a 4 week 2 day period. Got paid in miles. Never left the switching yard so i made about $3,000 that month.

One day I dead headed three trains in and worked 8 hours. Made $7,000 that day.

Yeah, and walking the ties and rails is a job itself.
Walking a 113 car coal train for an inspection on a steep embankment full of loose ballast when its 20 below zero out because the engineer accidentally hit the emergency stop button isn't much fun.
