Saving a strain. reveg advice please:)

I am in the middle of a 2 week flush. I am growing the only thing I got going on. I dont want to lose this strain or plant. I want to reveg then keep as a mother this rather nice plant.

I am in rw. I have been feeding klearex for 2 days.

Alll the leaves are stiill there and look pretty healthy. When the flush is done in another week will there be any leaves left?

More to the point will I be trying to reveg just a stalk? If so how will that work? Should I cut the buds before all the leaves are dead then reveg?

This is my first time and I am hoping for some advice or expereimce on how all this will work out. ty

You have to have some leaves to reveg.

You can reveg with just a small amount of bud left on, even if there are no actual fan leaves left. The new growth will grow straight out of the bud, and will look deformed for a while, but will sort itself out eventually.

I have heard reports of people revegging with no green growth on the plant at all, but I think this is more down to luck, and probably won't work in most cases. Leave whatever leaves you can, and/or a couple of low bud sites.

I do not recommend that. 1 remove all bud 100%, then with the leaves left reveg.

Mind if I ask why? I've revegged several plants, and always left some bud matter on there. I see new growth from the bud sites at least a week before I see it from anywhere else.

I'm not saying you are incorrect, just wondering about your reasoning.

The bud matter (flowers) make it harder due to plant hormones
A good spray of kelp, cytokinins helps too.

Fair enough, i'll take your word for it. I've never had problems though. I'll do a side-by-side next time with both methods and see what the differences are.

I can guarantee that it works in a pinch though, like if you have lost all your fan leaves. I recently helped a friend do this exact thing, and he now has a multi cola plant (like 10+) just from a couple of popcorn bud sites.

fans do not matter just remove all the calyxes(flowers). The little bract leaves will do.

I would remove ANY bud when trying to reveg. You dont actually need any fan leafs, I have seen new growth pop out of just stalks. The most important thing is a healthy root system. As long as you got a healthy root mass, put it under 18 hour light and feed when it needs it.
