Save to take clones?

Is it save to take clones from a plant that's been in flower for 2 weeks? The lower branches don't seem to get much light so I'm thinking of just cloning them.

It can be hard for clones to revert back to veg and try to root at the same time, it can be done but it is a lot harder to do.

2 weeks in is a like the limit to when i would take a clone anytime after that would be a waste of a month unless u trying to save the genes like i did on my current grow with og clones btw most of them died.the clones i took during preflower rooted in 3 days the 3 og clones i have left just started new growth from a plant 4 weeks into flower was cut like a month ago

2 weeks is pretty much when i always take my clones. i let her stretch then when i see pistils i remove any branches not geting light and clone the shit out of them. they work fine
