satori ?

Hi all I have a few satori ladies going strong in day 70 of flower. Starting to die question is: been waiting for some amber trichomes none seen yet. Is anyone familar with this srtain? Obviously they are.not finished. Will i get any amber or should I chop. Nearing 95% cloudy. Also one is seriously purple. Thankyou

I have grown Satori a few times, it is a very nice and yummy strain.
I have grown it indoors a few times...I harvest about at about 70 to 75 days. Apx 10- 20% amber trichs.

This summer I grew out 3 Satoris under the sun, I noticed that the amber trichs showed up much earlier than when grown indoors under 600 and 1000 watt HIDs.

Without pics it is difficult to advise.
My hunch is that you should let them go another 5 to 10 days.

Amber trichomes mean the THC has degraded into CBN, which you do not want.

Trousers is right you want cloudy white trichomes. You could pick em early and still get stoned as fuck. Satori is a wonderful strain easy to clone. Gonna run her again in summer. Here is a pic of one I did this spring summer.

Thanks fellows. Unfortunately I could not get any good pics of tri's. Not camera savy. I understand about the amber, was led to believe when you saw a certain percentage of amber to cloudy it would help determine the harvest. I really dont want amber. After careful inspection this morn. I decided at this stage a few more days couldn't hurt. I tryed a sample a few days ago and got seriously stoned, other than the terrible headache I got, she is very kind. This being my third grow and only successful one, I believe i'm moving in the right direction. Problems during this grow include: root worms, which made me attend a funeral, temps, got'em under control, the dreaded fungus gnats and a flush which may or may not have fucked things up. . At the present things are going good, lights on temps are 76-81 F, lights out temps are 61 F with an RH of 45%.

Rig:
600W x 2 HPS flower MH veg
ordinary top soil medium with a few secret ingredients. lol
MG feed 1/4 strength veg and 1/2 strength flower weekly

I have learned not to freak out about every leaf spot or color change, just roll with it a few days making very minor changes if any. These mammoth colas are enough to make my dick hard, I'm guessing it's in the genetics because I'm sure as hell not calling myself a master gardener. Again ThankYou to everyone here who has helped me along the way. R.I.U. is kick-ass. I will posts some pics before the chop.

I only know from reading that the satori packs on the resin at the tail end of grow. Sounds like you have a handle on it. I have some seeds I purchased a few years ago. Planning on taking advantage of the large cola and do a sog. Love to hear if this is practical. Cheers...JD
