Do you use the same indicators for harvesting Sativa plants as Indica plants? 50% or more of pistils ghanging etc

i dont use that has an indication for shit. go by trichoms..... i always harvest at half amber wether indica/sativa. i really really try to stay away from sativas doms. after a while and a few grows, esp with a certain or same strain you can use your eyes to guage harvest times. i donno how to tell you this but that it will just look ripe/ the calyxes will be has swollen has they could be, most of the major fan leaves will be yellowing or dead, and all the hairs will have receeded back to the calyxes. just takes some practice

Yes, but its not the color of the pistils as chitownsmokin stated. When looking for ripeness in Sativa it is better to harvest when 30% cloudy and 70% clear, this wil give a higher soaring stone, which will accent the strains (sativa) natural high. For indica 50/50 cloudy clear, this will add to the body stone which indica strains naturally produce. The window for harvest is 5-7 days so watch close.
