i plan on getting some fem sugar punch seeds from sannies & im wondering
should I top them once or twice, should i lst them etc

im using a 600w hps ina 4x4x8 grow room
theyve got a little more than 4ft of room to grow

thanks for any info

I'm doing these next, same dimension grow area (although I have 6ft 6in height), same size light too. I'm going to top mine once. I ran Killing Fields last year (and didn't top them), they went quite tall -biggest was 4.5ft after being put into 12/12 at 1ft. From what I've read on Sannies open grow forum the Sugar Punch doesn't stretch as much as the Killing fields.

Don't really know what to suggest, it's your grow after all. But I reckon if you grow them to 1ft and then top them once, give them 5 days and flip them to 12/12 they will probably remain within your grow room height. I've seen Sannie use a technique where he hangs light fishing weights from the tops of his plants when they get too tall, can't find the thread on his forum right now though.

yea that sounds along the lines of what i wanted to do.
start in plastic cups
veg to a certain height
??wondering if i should transplant to a 2 or 3 gallon??
top once or twice
transplant to 5g pots veg a week longer bit more then swtich to 12/12

Sannies SP is Mrs Cobbs favorite strain. I've run 2 of them now at different times. It takes a while for the predominately Sativa strain to finish, but its well worth the wait. With 8 feet of height I guess you could grow either sdtraight up or LST. Believe it or not, in the pics here, mine was actually LST but two giant colas shot up to form these "twin towers"
Behold

I use 11 litre pots (I think that's three US gallons). Personally, I will start mine off in small cup sized pots; transplanting them to the bigger pots when they have established themselves (this is usually about a week with sannies strains and the set up I've got). I'm then gonna let them veg to 1ft, top mine, give them another week and flip them. The issue I have that you don't is that I'm gonna have some kosher kush in there too and I've been warned that they are super stretchy.
