Salt crystals coming out of plants WITH PICS

EDIT: I give up, the forum interface completely disagrees with my computer, pics aren't even working right after it let me upload them. I'm just going to go back to reading the forums, maybe someone else will have this problem eventually...

K I can't post replies for some reason with my version of flash or firefox or w/e. Either way I don't have much else to say now. Crystals coming out of my newly transplanted plants, probably salt but I haven't tasted them. There are no buds yet, transplanted into regular soil mix of peat worm castings perlite and compost.

The only thing different I added was a bit of organic fertilizer and some Epsoma pelletized garden lime. All I can guess at is the lime was too much, I didn't measure but I sprinkled in a bit of what I thought was less than a tablespoon per gallon, but the compost I had in the mix also had some lime in it, so that's why I'm leaning so hard on the lime problem. That and there's nothing else I can come up with, I mean I used distilled water, and a slightly different soil mix on many other plants without..... "these"..... problems.

I took a couple pics today when my friend finally got back after vacation. They've been pretty much dying for a week now, or suffering at least, but I think I could pull them through I re mixed the soil with better un-limed soil and re-watered with a diluted molasses seaweed fish mix I have.

I just really want to know what the heck went wrong, I haven't read of this type of problem before.
These little piles were clumped together in the soil by the roots:View attachment 1322378
Here you can see the spots where it is coming out of the leaves, you can even see some on the stems just barely.View attachment 1322379
