Safe to post?

This may sound stupid but living in the US I have to ask. Is it totally safe for me to discuss anything in on this site? I set it up using a fake email with a fake real name but I am still paranoid I guess about talking freely about things.:shock:
 
up to a point, yes. it would cost thousands of dollars to track you down, so unless you're worth it, you have nothing to worry about.
 
First of all holly crap that was a fast response. So even if I were to post pictures of things. (Obviously without putting myself in pictures lol) That would be safe as well?
 
Yeah dude, i was sketchy too and lurked around reading the site for months before I finally started posting. What KP2 said. Its safe up to a point. I still dont post pics though out of paranoia.... but you can really learn a lot on this site.

i did the same thing before i signed up to any forums
 
I never actually thought into security lol. Its all hear say unless your face is in a pic with a some plants...or if you have a tat that can be linked back to yourself. If your so paranoid you could always pay $9.99/month, and have your IP go through a server that is heavily encrypted, and off US soil so the government cant get a warrent for it, and that would keep them from ever finding you. But like the others said there not after the person growing an O or 2, they are after the person growing 5, 10, 15, 20+ lbs. to sell.
 
Ok I am starting to feel more secure.. Unless your all cops and this is an elaborate scam to bring me and my 2 seeds down! Ok enough paranoia I guess lol. I am going to start a grow journal hopefully today as I have 2 bag seeds germinating and this morning one of them finally cracked open after 30 hours! Woohoo! First grow btw if you cant tell lol.
 
I just wrote about this last week. The end result of my post was this: It is the number one way they catch us. But unless your posting pics of a huge grow op, they probibly don't bother wasting time tracking you down. But yes they can catch us this way.

i dont agree at all that its the number one way they catch us. i havent heard a single tale of someone getting popped from RIU. i know if i got popped for posting the first thing i would do is post what happened so others could be warned. never has such a post been made.

yes, they could find you via your posts. but it would take a warrant, something they wont get from a judge simply by saying, "but its on the internet, it has to be real!"

c'mon man...
 
Agreed, any information from an online forum cannot be, in and of itself, grounds for a warrant. I mean, I am sure there are many "non truthful" growe journals on here. I am fairly confident, especially being in Canada, that nothing I write in this forum can or will be used against me.
