Sacrifice leaves for bud?

I'm growing NL#5 x Big Bud. My plant is about two weeks into flowering and bud sites are starting to form. Unfortunately my idea of wrapping it on all sides in 305 watts of CFL's ended up making the leaves form claw/taco shapes and dry out pretty good. Yesterday I moved the lights about 5-6inches away and the leaves seem to be healing decently but it also resulted in it stretching two inches in a night. Should I just say screw the leaves and continue to wrap it in 305watts of CFL's or should I leave the lights further away and maybe sacrifice yield in the process?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'd provide pics but my crappy webcam wouldn't show much definition anyways...

i wouldnt sacrifice too many early in flowering.. maybe u can move the lights closer gradually over the next week and buy an extra fan to keep air moving and temps low

Thanks for the advice man.. I'll try that then. It's a closet grow and like a dumbass I wasn't considering the heat up by the canopy and was just measuring the temp by the soil. My temps were 78 or so but once I checked by the canopy I realized it was in the high 80's... I've got it around 76-80 by the canopy now and the leaves are definitely looking better already.
