Read the last time a Russian plane was shot down by a member of nato was in the 50's during the height of the cold war.

Yeah Russia has a pattern of floating into restricted air spaces and acting surprised when people get mad.
On the other hand I don't see how it could have flown 4km over the Syrian border if they engaged it whIle in Turkish air space...
What I don't really get is why they felt the need to shoot the pilots?

The first report said a Turkmen ground commander was holding the pilots parachute saying they shot him in the air. now it says rebels. :confused:

I suspect it'll be shown that Turkey was right about the Russian incursion and that's what happens during war.

The pilot shooting was rebels and that leaves Turkey out of that part

Turkey call fat guys away from the dinner plate into a meeting of their stomach....I mean minds. They are hoping the fat guys don`t mind that they fucked up and will slow a Russian response by table talk.

Those fat guys are on their way to a feast table and now a talk table,...Of course they`ll fucking mind Turkey.

Putin`s response can be on NATO Nations or Turkey individually. Hence the meeting, Turkey knows the answer to that question.

Because it wasn't in Turkish airspace. It flew across a sliver on NON internationally recognized buffer made up by Turkey. The plane was downed in Syrian airspace. Protocol is to escort jets away from airspace, not engage non threatening aircraft outside of your not-even airspace. The jet was in this pretend airspace for 18 seconds.

Turkey is just butt hurt about Russia crippling IS oil production, thus ending Turkey's supply of cheap oil.

Russia said that it knows that Turkey is trying to bait Russia into doing something and crippling hopes of a Russia - NATO cooperation against IS. Turkey fears cooperation between Russia and the West because then it's IS ally will be crippled and Turkey would no longer be able to plunder Syria's resources at bargain prices.
