24 hours, no sprouts on the test subjects yet, looks like a few will come up in 1 more day, deciding what to do with another seed that germed.

the other seed i put in plain water, ph to 5.5.

the heating pad has gotten the resivor to a proper temp, so i won't need that aqarium heater, awesome.

doing a testrun with the hps today, with fan on and with it off, checking temps

the 500 ppm seed has popped its seed off and is headed upward, he ranks in at #1, unless the late germer that got put in a cube 1 day later pops up today, then it will have come up faster.

on a bad note, the hps in my new refined area created 107.2 degree temps before i turned it off and started taking measures. so i set up this ghetto "air cooled" reflector, just my normal hps with a vent tube at the end of the bulb, two 12vdc pc fans, one at each end. hopefully this works, turning it pic attached.

oh, and before you ask, the jar of nails ontop of my hps is to weight one side down so the reflector hangers are balanced. otherwise one side will shoot upwards.

temps are still high, this has failed, going to tinker around, try to get the temps down.

let me take this time to shout out to nongreenthumb for acquiring&sending the white widow seeds i will be growing, all you guys in usa having a hard time getting seeds shipped, drop him a line!

Here is an attached pic of my seedling expieriment, and some sprouting up.

here are the ppms for each:

#1:150ppm
#2:310ppm
#3:500ppm
#4:150ppm
#5:0ppm - 1 day after the others. (no number)

now, maybe a coeincodence, however, #3 came out first, #2 came out second, and #1 is in third, has not yet dropped it's shell, number 4 has not risen, might just be slow, #5 looks like it will come out today.

so, as far as things go, i know it's still early, but #3 is winning.

about another half day, plain water is comming out of the cube, number 2 stretched taller, which means nothing, if not worse for being taller. here's an updated shot:

No real good update, just a new pic, #3's root has already made it to the bottom of the cube, the rest have not, #2 still taller, color is ok so far, no nute burning or death, humidity dome removed and moved closer to the lights to stop the stretch of #2, and to go ahead and jump start them, i usually throw em right under the lights with good results, hopefully my cubes dont dry out fast.

Got the 200GPH pump today, hooked it up, works and runs better, smoother. i guess the other can be a good backup.

Yeah, i took nongreenthumb's adivce and im going to use it to stir the res. Seedling expierments are doing great, i refed them earlier, and had to clean out my res/hydroton again once more thoro, to get rid of the clay residue.

i will post a detailed update/pic of the seedlings later today when i'm not so baked.

I know i didnt get a pic up, but i've gotten lazy and my camera is acting funky anyway, the seelings all lived, and i changed them all to the same ppm, they are now in soil cups. they will be moved outside when the season ripens abit more.

I added an air pump and another 12 inch airstoen to the resivor, and a nifty little live ph monitor that lasts 4 weeks or so, from the pet store. my 79 gph pump is still stirring my res, which keeps the res at one temperature, since i use a heating pad. not to mention the auto stirring effect on the resivor

my seeds will be arriving today hopefully from nongreenthumb, again, if anyone wants nirvana seeds but they are in the us contact this man, he can get and ship them for you quite fast..

Without any further adue, the seeds have arrived from nongreenthumb, and are germinating. I will be starting them off at 200-300 ppm. i probobly ownt post any pictures until i plop them into the hydro system, we'll see.

maybe. they send eventually they would switch back, personally i'd rather a package from a friend that's not in amsterdam.
