Let me set it up for you:
3 gallon pots
5 different strains (Ice bubblelicious, ak-48, Acid and northern lights)
soil parts- 1 vermiculite 1 perlite 1 part spaghum/peat moss 5 organic top soil (from one of ed's earlier books)
nutrients-fox farms full line at 50-75% using the exact feeding schedule for the full line (big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom, kangaroots, microbe brew, open sesame, beastie blooms and cha-ching) PH'd water post mixing to 7.0
lighting 1k hps for flower, veg is 400 watt conversion from HPS to MH 24/7 for 6 weeks from cut to flower
temps 65-79 deg f and RH is 40-65% and has been for months never out of that range
water is RO and under 15 ppm before adding nutrients
If I'm forgetting anything you might need ask, I'm an open book (novel without pics really right now camera broken so no pics at least right now)
Here it is:
I am noticing some yellowing on lower leaves and some curling like they are "praying for MG" plus some necrosis. a little purple on the stems of the leaves and working its way up to the buds. It looks like nitrogeon or cal-mag deficiency but it's sort of new since I got more moss. I had previously run out and jsut added some extra perlite and verm to make up for it and I think I was better off then. So I checked the runoff on a few tips from the boards and this is what I found on the first one. my runoff from 6.7 PH water RO filtered out of my well was about 7.0 on its way out and a ppm of 1300. the PPM is my main question. is this anything at all to even look at? The PH tells me that the water goes in WTF and comes out perfect for plant consumption but the PPM seems way high. is that an indicator of nutrient burn or too high a salt content in the pot? is the moss stealing my cal-mag from the plant? anyone got a link to a smart guy who already went over this? I combed the internet and thought for sure that runoof would be valuable info on a tds and PH basis but the TDS info is sparse. hit me up guru's. The plants in quesiton are about 9 days from done but this is not the same yellowing at ripeness I usually see but ti's close enough to harvest to not worry too much I just got an inquiring mind and a hankering to type out long drawn out questions on the interweb. Thanks!
