i was using marine busbars:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/items/?_nkw=marine+bus+bar&_sacat=&_ex_kw=&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_sop=12&_fpos=&_fspt=1&_sadis=&LH_CAds=&rmvSB=true
(specifically these: http://www.iboats.com/Dualbus-100-Ampere-Common-Bus-10-10-X-8-32-Screw-Terminal-Blue-Sea-Systems/dm/cart_id.155591552--session_id.767936985--view_id.164558)
but then i found these, which are 50 cents each, and 100x better than a wirenut ever could be:
they are rated for 12-20GA wire so you can come right off the driver and connect your 18ga to it. both the HLG-320 and HLG 600 use 14GA wire (600 has 2 'channels')
