Anybody know of any issues issues if I run a filter rated at min. 600 cfm on a 400 cfm fan?I can get a new phat filter cheap, but its rated at min. 600 cfm,and I wanna hook it up to my 6 " fan rated at 400 cfm.I know I should match up the cfm,but phat has a good rep and I need a new filter anyways.

I say its fine, more exposure to the carbon, slower, so it should work fine. I have a 750 cfm carbonaire filter with a 500cfm fan, 8". I did it cuz the fan was $30 instead of $200 for the ecoplus 8" 750 cfm one..... it works as my 2nd carbon filter, would work alot better for more space with a better fan.

my main cf is 6" carbonaire with an ecoplus 6" fan.....

rule is empty the room 3 times a minute. 200 cf room needs a 600 cfm fan
