ruderalis leaves? now what?

  • hey all... i have a little bit of a dilemma on my mind right now... i have some girls (hopefully) that a friend of mine just started and didn't know what to do with... he said he found them in some really good stuff... but now that they are a bit bigger one of them is already getting the full leaves and im finding that at least that one has the ruderalis leaves. so in short i dont know what to do.. he says it smoked very well but then im finding online that ruderalis isn't "fire"..
    so my question is: is the ruderalis worth it? is it as bad as i read or are there decent strains of ruder?

what are ruderalis leaves? Never heard the term.

I mean I know what ruderalis is but..how are you identifying it as that from bagseed?
 
Ruderalis are mostly autoflower strains these days. They are hybrids so to say. They can be very potent. It really all depends on genetics, environment and the grower. In that order.
 
thanks danny.... im starting to reaserch and im starting to suspect it is an auto of some type.. also i have some others that are not autos.. will that mess up my light cycles? or can i just keep going flowering when the others are ready and the auto keep going.. in other words.. can i light cycle as normal and the auto will flower whenever it wants even as i transfer from 24 to 12-12
 
fattie: i have no idea of the strain or anything.. what i mean by ruderalis leaves is just that.. the leaves look like ruderalis
 
Theres a big difference in being "scured" and being smart. You cant win every fight, sometimes its better to walk away.
 
I wasn't aware that autos had a unique leaf type different from Indica or Sativa.

If you can't sort pictures, how about you describe this new category so we can offer thoughts. :-)
 
I have actualy ruderalise that grows wild out here. Plenty of experience with them and all they look like are 100% leggy sativas.
 
I didn't know you could get seeds from an auto. I know you can buy them but to find them in a bag, that's new to me.
 
What on earth are ruderalis leaves? You should read up on autoflowers and their genetics.

As for Big Easy's Q about getting seeds from an auto plant, I believe that happens if a plant turns male and pollinates a female or if a plant turns into a hermie and happens to make a few seeds, usually due to stressing the plant out.
