Rubbermaid Grow Box (Complete)

Me and my girlfriend made a grow box following directions off this website and I am not sure if it is going to work.

These are the lights I am using -

Light Output: 1,600 Lumens
Energy Used: 23 watts
Colour Temperature: 2700 K Soft White

Can someone tell me if I can use these lights all the way through? I have never grown before but I have been reading and really interested in learning.

Does anyone know? I just added wires and a platform so I can raise the pot as close to the lights as I want when its starting and lower it when it grows. I am really excited to start but need to know if it will work first.

Im not a hug expert but that should work as long as you can raise the plants closer to the lights. The one thing is those 27k soft whites are good for flowering, but not for vegging. All you have to do is go get some daylight cfls, they will provide the correct spectrum for veg growth.

Also somehow you have to make it light tight where those fans are, if not the plant will hermie to shit

I found these 5000 kelvin floros at big lots for like 7 bucks a pair.. there preaty brite but still cast a shadow under the metal halide.

Thanks for the help I posted the way I am going to bring it closer to the lights I hope that will work and what is a good way to cover the fan it is going to be in my closet where it is dark is that good enough?

As long as it is dark in there when the plant is flowering and on its dark cycle. Make sure its in your closet with complete darkness, and have the lights off when you are asleep and make sure no light gets in there while they are off!

Like token said. You gotta keep it 100% dark. absolutely no light leaks. Im not sure i have a garbage can that i kinda have the same problem but im just vegging in it 24 hours a day and switching to a cabinet for flower.
